Fees:
50-55 minute session: $120
I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need.
Please inquire during your consultation if cost is a barrier.
Have limited time and need to pack in a shorter session into your busy schedule? We can meet for a 30 minute session upon request.
Out-Of-Network Reimbursement:
At Solstice Maine Counseling, I am an out-of-network provider, which means I don't bill insurance directly. However, you may be eligible for full or partial reimbursement from your insurance carrier.
Here's how it works:
You pay me directly after each session.
I give you a “superbill” (a fancy receipt with all the info your insurance needs).
You send that to your insurance company — usually through their app or website.
If you have out-of-network benefits, they’ll send you a reimbursement check.
Many clients find this to be a great option because it allows:
More privacy — insurance doesn’t control your care. Information included on the superbill is minimal. It includes: your name, date of service, billing code, and my professional licensing information.
More choice — It can be challenging to find a therapist with the credentials you're looking for solely based on insurance coverage. Out-of-network reimbursement allows you to find a therapist that is the best fit for you.
Potential savings — once you meet your deductible, you may get back a significant portion per session.
If you are looking for your insurance company to help pay for sessions, make sure you reach out to your insurance carrier before we start meeting to verify you have out-of-network benefits.
Here's some questions you can ask your insurance carrier:
Do I have out-of-network mental health therapy benefits? If so, how many sessions are covered?
What percentage of out-of-network benefits are covered?
How much of my deductible have I met? Is there a separate deductible for out-of-network services?
How can I submit claims for reimbursement?
What is the process for reimbursement? How long can I expect to see a payment?
I know dealing with insurance can feel daunting. If you need support with this, please let me know.
